After devastating floods impacted families across Upshur and Lewis Counties, Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. is giving back to a community that has long held a special place in his heart. Through Landau's Kids Joy Toy Drive, hundreds of brand-new toys have been collected to bring smiles and encouragement to children affected by the disaster.
The Landau's Kids Joy Toy Give-Away will take place on Sunday, August 9, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Buckhannon Walmart parking area. Children impacted by the recent floods in Upshur and Lewis Counties are invited to attend, with one toy per child while supplies last. Children must be present to select their toy.
The event is made possible through the generosity of community donors and is sponsored by Landau's Kids Joy Toy Drive in partnership with the Almost Heaven BBQ Bash. Together, they're reminding local families that even in difficult times, West Virginia communities stand together to support one another.
