LANDAU DOES THE DERBY FOR A GREAT CAUSE

West Virginia’s biggest KY Derby Party, the 13th Annual Night at the Races to benefit the Roark-Sullivan Lifeway Center and the area’s homeless veterans is slated for Saturday, May 5th at Edgewood Country Club starting at 5:30 pm.

ch the Kentucky Derby on the big screen. After the Run for the Roses, catch Landau and his friend, WV Music Hall of Famer and Mountain Stage Pianist Bob Thompson perform a short mini-concert. Then dance the night away with a DJ, delicious food and all the mint juleps you can handle! Murphy, season six winner of NBC TV’s America’s Got Talent, has recently been making appearances to promote his debut film role in the new movie CHOICES, was himself homeless at one point in his life. He says, “I am always happy to lend a hand to support those less fortunate, especially our vets, anytime I can”.

Driven by its mission statement, Roark-Sullivan Lifeway Center helps homeless individuals to become self-sufficient. It provides them amenities like housing, opportunities to develop their skills, and training to do meaningful work in an environment of dignity and mutual respect.
