Heads up Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. fans: Landau will again heed the call to perform a benefit concert for his fellow West Virginians. This time, the benefactor is the Boone County Community Foundation. The benefit concert will be held this Friday night March 9th at the Madison Civic Center in Madison, West Virginia.
That afternoon from Noon-2pm, Murphy will be signing copies of his CD “That’s Life” at a nearby Walmart location, in the FountainPlace Mall in Logan WV. Tickets for Friday evening’s benefit concert will be available during the Walmart autograph signing event while supplies last.
Tickets are also available this week at the Madison Civic Center, the Grapevine on State Street in downtown Madison and several other Boone County outlets. You can order tickets via phone by calling (304) 369-4683. Tickets are $35.00-$40.00 in advance, $45.00 at the door day of show. Note that there are NO credit card sales for this show.
This will be a GREAT opportunity to see Landau in a small, intimate setting; the Madison Civic Center has less than 1,000 seats and due to contractual obligations, they were unable to put tickets on sale until last week. That means TERRIFIC seats right up close are still available, and proceeds will benefit a good cause. Landau has designated a portion of the proceeds for the March 9th concert to benefit the Boone County Community Foundation.
